Falmouth has some of Cornwall’s most breathtaking coastline and beaches – taking a boat trip out into the harbour and the Carrick Roads or across to St Mawes is an unforgettable experience. Why not use Falmouth as a base for fantastic walking holidays.
Home to the third largest natural harbour in the world and is located on the south coast of Cornwall. Also known as the south west’s premier resort and home to Cornwall’s maritime heritage, Falmouth and the surrounding area offers a diverse selection of attractions and activities, including scenic walks, outstanding tropical gardens, water sports activities, cultural experiences and all with a dash of pirates and smugglers! Using the Grove Hotel as a base you can explore Falmouth and mid and west Cornwall. If you choose to go by sea, there are plenty of pleasure boats and passenger ferries that glide elegantly through the waters to St Mawes, Flushing, the Smugglers Cottage at Tolverne, Truro and the Helford Passage. For those with slightly ‘firmer’ ideas in mind, you can catch the Falmouth road-train which meanders its way through Falmouth throughout the day linking the town, beaches and castle.
